We started Tutum in the winter of 2013 with a laser focus: simplify lifecycle of software applications. We experienced the pains of developing and deploying applications ourselves. Once we learned about Docker containers, we realized we could leverage that technology to create a service that turns the most frustrating aspects of development and deployment into a simple, easy-to-use and beautiful workflow.
With less than a year of development under our belts, we’re extremely proud of the product we’ve been able to produce. We grew from two co-founders with an idea, to having a fully dedicated team of 7. We also can’t stress enough how amazing it’s been to have participated in the Techstars NYC ’14 class.
There’s no doubt that we are only where we are today because of the advice and unrelenting helpfulness of our advisors and mentors.
We’re extremely excited to have these two amazing venture firms behind us. Going after a huge market with a big problem can be daunting. That’s why we were looking for partners with the right skills and background that would be right there with us jumping into the fray.
We will be using the money to grow our team with even more talented folks and really focus on the development of Tutum. Information Technology is changing fast, and there is a large opportunity for new players to disrupt this space. Tutum plans to be at the forefront of this innovation.
Our vision of what Tutum can and will be has been shaped by our passionate community. We’re inspired daily by what you’re able to accomplish on our platform, and many of you are dreaming up various use cases we couldn’t have predicted.
We know a lot of our growth has been from our users spreading the word about Tutum. So we want to thank all of you. For your early support, you’ll always have our gratitude.
Without you, our dream would be over.
